This policy reflects our commitment to acting with integrity and ensuring compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, all relevant local and national legislation, and recognised ethical working standards.
Scope
This policy applies to all employees, directors, subcontractors, suppliers, labour providers and any other parties working on behalf of KWR Fire and Security Ltd.
Our Commitment
KWR Fire and Security Ltd is committed to ensuring there is no modern slavery or human trafficking within any part of our business or supply chains. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all business relationships and to implementing effective systems and controls to prevent slavery, exploitation and human trafficking.
Worker Rights
We support fair treatment, equality and respect for all workers. Workers must be free to leave employment voluntarily with reasonable notice and must not be subject to forced labour, compulsory overtime, intimidation, harassment, violence or discriminatory treatment. We respect lawful rights relating to freedom of association and worker representation.
KWR Fire and Security Ltd does not knowingly engage with organisations that use forced labour, exploit vulnerable workers, charge worker paid recruitment fees, retain worker passports or identification documents unlawfully, or restrict freedom of movement.
Risk Assessment and Due Diligence
We undertake appropriate due diligence to identify and mitigate risks within our business and supply chain. This may include assessing supplier risks, using approved suppliers and subcontractors, reviewing supply chain relationships, considering modern slavery risks during procurement activities and reviewing labour practices where risks are identified.
Supplier Requirements
All suppliers, subcontractors and labour providers are expected to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and demonstrate ethical working practices. Where appropriate, contractual agreements may include requirements relating to compliance with this policy. Where concerns are identified,
KWR Fire and Security Ltd may work with suppliers to implement corrective actions and improvements.
Training and Awareness
KWR Fire and Security Ltd provides appropriate awareness and guidance to relevant employees to ensure they understand the risks associated with modern slavery, indicators of exploitation and how to report concerns. Training and awareness may be provided during induction, when policies are updated and through ongoing management communication.
Reporting Concerns
Employees, subcontractors and stakeholders are encouraged to report any concerns regarding modern slavery, unethical behaviour or breaches of this policy. Reports can be made confidentially to senior management and all concerns will be taken seriously and investigated appropriately. KWR Fire and Security Ltd will support workers who raise genuine concerns in good faith and will not tolerate retaliation against any person making a report.
Where appropriate, KWR Fire and Security Ltd will take reasonable steps to support access to remedy, corrective action and resolution where modern slavery concerns are identified.
Monitoring and Review
This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure it remains effective and relevant. KWR Fire and Security Ltd is committed to continuous improvement in identifying and reducing modern slavery risks through supplier engagement, policy reviews, staff awareness and ongoing due diligence activities.

This policy has been approved by senior management and is fully supported by the leadership team.
